About Cal Harrison, President

Cal Harrison is a CMC and one of North America’s leaders in assisting management consultants to develop better sales skills and practices based on established B2B consumer behaviour models. He is a twenty year veteran of the marketing, advertising, and consulting sectors.

Cal’s articles are read by subscribers around the globe and are reprinted in publications such as CA Magazine, Rain Today, Strategy Peak, Management Consulting News, and the Journal of The World Congress on Total Quality Management. In March 2006 his “Layoffs to Payoffs” article was named to the Top Five Most Downloaded list by Rain Today and in 2007 "Too Busy to Sell" achieved the same benchmark.

He has been an invited speaker to Canadian Association of Management Consultants chapters, university groups including Harvard Business School, The University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business Consulting Round Table, and Institute of Management Consultants USA events across North America including the national IMC CONFAB conference.

In 2004 the Institute of Management Consultants USA audited his Beyond Referrals program and gave it their highest endorsement – “IMC Recommended”.

His “Building A Professional Practice” one-day program designed for recent MBA grads has been taught at Royal Roads University in Victoria BC.

Cal also works with purchasing organizations such as the Purchasing Management Association of Canada (PMAC) to eliminate the traditonal RFP method of selecting professional advisors and implement his Expert Selection Method © of engaging consulting firms.

Cal is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and a graduate of The University of Manitoba (MBA, BA), The University of Nevada at Reno (Executive Development Program), and Red River College (Diploma Advertising Art) and an instructor at The University of Manitoba, The University of Winnipeg, and Royal Roads University in Victoria British Columbia.

Cal serves as the Marketing Chair of CMC Manitoba and on the Marketing Communications subcommittee of The United Way in Manitoba.
